The firm

We were part of the team that wrote Acts 20, 22, and 60.

Omnia is a full-service economic-development firm for Latin America and the Caribbean. Small enough to tailor the work. Connected enough to get a decree, a house, and a banking relationship in the same season.

Unlike larger firms, we provide tailor-made services: market entry, economic development, and government relations from first conversation to a company that actually operates. Whether the job is new corporate roots or a branch into the region, the work is local knowledge plus the patience to file.

The team’s backgrounds run through commercial law, government relations, finance, real estate, infrastructure, manufacturing, tourism, agriculture, and international trade. The useful part is not the list. It is having already walked the agencies you are about to meet.

Raúl Vidal y Sepúlveda

Raúl Vidal y Sepúlveda

Partner

Former Assistant Secretary for International Affairs at the Department of Economic Development and Commerce of Puerto Rico, Raúl was the lead promoter of the island’s incentives abroad and Director of Puerto Rico’s New York Office. In that role he attracted more than $700 million in foreign direct investment.

Projects from that period include Puerto Rico’s first new commercial bank in 30 years, two corporate headquarters, a major hotel and tourism investment, and the island’s first A-rated reinsurer. He later processed high-net-worth individuals under Acts 20 and 22 — and later Act 60. Omnia was part of the team that wrote all three, beginning with the 2012 incentives under Governor Luis Fortuño.

The World Economic Forum named him a founding Global Shaper of the San Juan Hub. He was the first Puerto Rican invited to the WEF Annual Meeting in Davos, speaking on cities as engines of development and sitting with the Australian Prime Minister’s G-20 2014 presidency platform team.

He holds a B.A. from the George Washington University Elliott School and a J.D. from American University Washington College of Law. He later served on the board of the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company (PRIDCO).

Roberto Corretjer

Roberto Corretjer

Partner

Corporate attorney, businessman, and social entrepreneur, Roberto brings the real-estate and corporate practice that turns a decree into an actual life on the island.

He has been a leading corporate and real-estate attorney in Puerto Rico — negotiating settlements for some of the region’s largest construction companies and developers, and representing investors in the acquisition and disposition of commercial and residential assets, including equity, leasehold, and debt.

That access to regional investment opportunities is what clients feel on the ground: not a slide deck, a set of doors that open. He holds a master’s degree from Northwestern University and is licensed in Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico.
